Last year New York was struggling to absorb 6,000 migrants. Otherwise known as less than one day’s worth of illegal border-crossings at America’s southern border. Now, in 2023, we have something like 28,000 illegal migrants in New York. Otherwise known as about 3-4 days’ worth of illegal crossings at the southern border. As Mayor Adams and everyone else can see, the city is at breaking point.

I quit going to motels and hotels because of this kind of invasion. I pay $100+ per night to stay in a shithole with druggies and illegals wandering around the property at all hours of the night? I'll stay in my own RV at campgrounds for much less.

Those hotels are charging top rates.

If you stay at a hotel and look at the sign on the backside of your room door. It shows their highest possible rate they can charge. Course they never charge more than maybe 1/8 of that. They are never allowed to charge more for a room than that price listed and it has to be in a conspicuous location all guests see.

So you know those hotels are charging to federal government 800 to 1000 dollars a night for a room. They are charging to the penny that maximum allowable price. So a room they normally charge say 125 for they are getting 950 dollars for the illegals.
