Hot Take: "Die Another Day" Wasn't That Bad

People act like this was the worst James Bond movie ever. I get it, it was cheesy and over the top. But 90% of the movie's issues boil down to it being a product of when it was released. The quick cuts? Typical of that period. Madonna? She was big then. People ***** about the ice palace? You know, it was cool. And remember that Moonraker had a space base, and The Spy Who Loved Me had an underwater base. The car was also cool. People also ***** about the magic race-swapping gene therapy, forgetting that a similar event occurred in You Only Live Twice. Finally, the main villain's battle suit was sort of cool. The only inexcusably bad thing was the weird iceberg surfing scene.
