What are the causes? High cost of living. Addiction. According to this documentary on homeless in California the majority are not drug users. So how do to fix this problem?

If you are willing to withstand the elements like wind rain and heat you can live really comfortably outdoors under a tree or behind a wall... cops are told to look the other way... this was happening here where I live and the people went out and cleaned up the mess and sent the homeless elsewhere...
Why other people just sit back and let homeless folks shit under a bridge and leave trash all over they place is beyond reason to me....

Lack of incentive to work long term, or at all; and tolerance for the unpleasant living conditions.

Hard to believe.

So how do to fix this problem?

It is going to require a better citizenship agreement which needs a better government chartering system. It is a big complicated ball of knots; but I am working on it.

The state of Texas is actually addressing the problem, unlike California.

There are proposals afloat to ban homeless encampments in the state.

If that doesn't work, encouraging homeless to get on buses to New York and Washington DC might be another option down the line.

People used to go where the work was, even leaving their families for long periods. "Ohio" should go back to Ohio where he could afford to live. California and other warm places attract the homeless from all over.

There is plenty of help for them... brand new shelters free food and a lot of bleeding hearts to give them money on the street corner... they don't want to go to the shelters for a whole host of reasons mostly due to having to be drug and drink free to enter....

Its not a stereotype when you can witness it yourself... we had an encampment starting up along a wash gully and cops had to watch well known drug dealers coming in and out of that place all day long... They were shitting and pissing down there... and because of covid it got way out of control....
We use to have vagrancy laws that kept society and the homeless safe... we need to re enforce those laws and lock these folks up and clean them up so they too can have productive happy lives like you enjoy....

for the 1000th time: not all homeless do that, and most are NOT on drugs

But for some reason, no one wants to face the facts RE homelessness. I talked to one women who has worked to help the homeless for 20 years and she said that the main reason is HIGH RENT

and that the covid thing made everything worse... closed down businesses that led to mass lay-offs.

Get rid of libtards and Democrats. It's liberal Democrat policies that cause homelessness anyway. Just like they cause poverty, crime, and drugs in the Black communities.
