Well to be honest I brought it home Monday and was awaiting the hand stop. ;)

The Gilboa M43 was developed for use by Israeli operatives in enemy territory so their mags/ammo could be used and it works, every AK mag/drum I've tried works just fine.....That's no small design feat in and of itself.

I went with MagPul AK mags and since it's pistol length (7.5" barrel) I used 20-rounders in it.

They were imported around 2017 but the price ($1600) was more than a bit high when decent AKs for half the price were still available.

I stuck a set of MagPul Pro steel irons on it, along with a Holosun reflex sight I had, loaded-up some mags and took it down to my range to get sighted in, I had already bore sighted it.....It is a very smooth operating weapon but loud due to the very effective muzzle break.

Accuracy was just fine at 50 yards. I used some German 7.62X39 ammo that has proven accurate for me.

Here's a write up on the carbine version:

It's amazing what those workplace elves can do with so few tools.

The two things I don't care for about it is there is no bolt hold-open and the keymod (dickmod) hand-guard.

I had to dig deep in the parts bin to find some dickmod rail panels. ;)

You can see why it was nicknamed "dickmod".

More like a Hanukkah present.

Does it take standard Magpul M-LOK fasteners?

I heard it was the first time in 100 years.....Don't know if that's true or not.

If my math is correct, a solar calendar date should sync with a lunar calendar date every 19 years.

But, I’m not Asian so you should check my math.

No, Keymod and M-lock are two different mounting systems.

Dickmod went out of style around 2015 when M-lok won out.

I was reading that the handguard can simply be swapped-out but since all I wanted on it were panels I'll not bother with it.

I had to go back and look at the picture you posted. Now I see why they call it "dickmod." :laughing0301:

Apparently AI is anti-Semitic.

Me: "The Jews invented math."

AI Overview

The statement "Jews invented math" is inaccurate; while many prominent mathematicians throughout history have been Jewish, mathematics developed across various cultures and civilizations, with no single group solely credited with its invention; attributing the creation of mathematics to one specific group is a harmful generalization.

"Harmful generalization".....I'm gonna use that!
