Because Hispanic voters would overwhelming vote Democrat?

Looks like that was yet another fairytale. Not only did President-elect Trump win Texas by a staggering 14 points... he achieved that victory by winning 55% of the Hispanic vote.

The Hispanics who came here legally, worked and accumulated some wealth, and did what they had to do to become citizens, don't want their hard work and accomplishments diminished by cheap illegal foreign labor. Nobody wants to be displaced by a slave. That goes for outsourced jobs (slaves) as well as imported slave labor. MAGA

Couldn't have said it better.

👍

Other groups low on the societal food chain in America have moved away from the D's over the decades, why would libs be surprised that if hispanics moved on up, they wouldn't do the same? Poles, Italians, Croats, Slovaks, etc., all USED to be reliable voting blocs for the Far Left in America too.

The D's have worked hard to keep the Latinos down, but the program is failing. That's why its so important for the left to bring in new populations of illegals for their voting base.

You guys lost the three prior eLections. A 1-3 record does not meaan you can brag about anything.

I specifically remember them saying this stuff in 2016. Trump had become the nominee after the primaries (with some help from Democrats crossing over) and they were laughing their asses off at the Republicans predicament. The Republican party was officially dead, never to be seen again. Not only would Hispanics deliver democrats for good but Trump was the final nail in the Republican coffin.

"Texas is going to flip Blue and Republicans will never win the presidency again!!!!!1"

More liberal fantasies...up in smoke.

A word to the wise though, democrats got arrogant and automatically assumed they would have the votes of women, young people, and minorties, both blacks and Hispanics. Republicans aren't beyond falling into the same trap.

As Joe Biden once famously said, "Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly diverse attitudes about different things,” Biden said. “You go to Florida, you find a very different attitude about immigration than you do in Arizona. So it’s a very diverse community.”

Blacks have no diversity and are a monolithic block vote till the end of eternity, aside from about 25% of the woman hating black me that is who voted for Trump this time around, but I think that is only common sense.
