Actually, her being so described is an indicator of how far women have advanced in politics. It's ugly, to be sure, but male candidates have been fielding such attacks for quite some time. The fact that her gender doesn't protect her is an indication that she is being viewed as a politician first, a woman second. Now, if we could just get democrats to stop hypocritically using gender as a shield...

Donald Trump is an obese waddling heart attack waiting to happen, but conservatives said Hillary is too old, and in poor health. She's young that Trump, and physically, in better shape.
