WTH? Heritage went all Damon Runyon in naming this one! :laughing0301:

It's just a rebranded Taurus 85....Taurus has owned Heritage since 2012....It's priced about the same as any Taurus Model 85 revolver.

The term "Roscoe" for a gun originated with Damon Runyon. He wrote stories with what became known for "Runyonesque" slang; and it was in his stories that the term "Roscoe" was used as slang for a revolver.

I owned a Taurus .22 revolver back in the 80s. It was junk. Lead shaver. I got rid of it. Your remark about pairing it with a shiv leads me to believe the brand hasn't changed.

Local Gunshop and range refuses to carry or sell them. I am not familiar with them but I like the look and name.

Look at it, it makes no sense....It has an under barrel lug that (say on a S&W that locks the ejector rod) but it locks nothing, it's just there for looks!

WTF?
