"Here are the agencies purging federal workers

In the latest federal shakeup, the Trump administration ordered the heads of several agencies across the government to start firing employees who were still within their probationary period — or within their first one or two years on the job.

During this period, which is different for each agency, workers have some protections in place, but their weak standing puts them in a position that is easier to terminate. The directive, issued earlier this week, could impact more than 200,000 federal employees.

Still, those who are ousted have the ability to appeal their case to the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), an independent agency tasked with protecting federal workers and ensuring the firings didn’t occur for political reasons."

The size of the Beast on the Potomac must be cut. The US is flat broke.

DOGE is like a dream come true. I've been posting for years that the Federal Government has NEVER had a layoff in 100 years. We not only have bloat in every agency, we have entire agencies that are redundant USAID being the most notable so far. What American taxpayer would not want our money spent more efficiently and our crushing $36 trillion dollar debt reduced? :dunno:

Okay but you probationary employees aren't the ones making bank. The swampy career bureaucrats just get more job security out of this.

It's a start. The progressive judges are trying to stop mass firings.

I am not sure one needs to be progressive to know they are going about this in illegal ways instead of following the legal path to the same end.
