Help!!

I keep getting the same emails from a friend of mine in my contact list which is fine however it’s the exact same email and it’s not just the one there are always 30 or more at a time.

I can’t seem to figure out how to stop this and I hope it’s not some kind of virus.
I ran a complete scan with my antivirus protector and it says my pc is protected, yet these emails are flooding my inbox.

Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

If they are advertisements then your friends email account has probably been hijacked.

Have them change their password on their email account.

that should clear it up.

They are usually jokes that were forwarded to them, not advertisement.

Multiple possible causes, is this a POP account? Outlook? Outlook express? Are both of you using Windows and if so what version? What is the last SP (Service Pack) you have on your system?
