Help Wanted, Grass Roots Effort on a New Currency Idea

Second reply to this.

I was all set to do a teaser about my currency idea. As I was advised by AI (if I'm serious) on what I need to do - to protect it. Some of that is complete, and other things are still in process.

Very soon, I will be comfortable discussing the idea in detail here. I'm anxious to see what the thoughts or critiques will be.

As I'm in my mid 60's, I'm already too old to chase the idea as a dream to become rich. I have an idea that I think might solve some problems with existing currencies, and if that simply inspires someone else's ideas and nothing more, I can live with that too.

Anyway, I will reveal the details that make my idea substantially different, soon!
Update.

Make that a year from now.

I don't think your idea is new or patentable. But I like the idea of thinking outside of the safe deposit box.
You may be right.

My patent attorneys seem to think it does have a chance. So, we will see.

/—-/ It’s amazing how quickly it was accepted as currency.
This is one of the replies on X!

I have Screen Name envy!!!

With the beginning of the Great geographical discoveries, trade grew, and with it, prices. The amount of metal in the form of money became simply inconvenient for wholesale trade. Hence, money in the form of receipt.
Trust in it was ensured by the authority of banking houses, which effectively ruled feudal states. Then bankers needed power to secure profits. Thus began the era of capitalism and bourgeois revolutions.

Update, if anyone is interested.

Late last night (very early this am), my Non Provisional Patent Application was filed!

I've never been through this process before, so I don't know when it's safe to discuss the details.

If anyone else here on USMB has ever obtained a patent, I would like to learn from your experience.

I have an idea for a new (Weighted Risk Asset?) currency. I am in no way an educated student, let alone an expert on such things, on creating a new currency (digital or anything else).

However, I have an idea for a new currency (coin?) that I've now run through AI, and the feedback is very encouraging.

I am personally not a fan of digital currencies, but this idea is more than that alone.

This idea is more secure/ solid.

My problem is I am too old, too uneducated in finance, and too little of a salesman to pitch the idea to anyone, myself.

I can't even share the idea on here without losing the rights to it.

So, where do I go from here?

Any ideas?

Self-publish and copyright it first. It seems more of an intellectual property than a scientific one, actually.

To start your own cryptocurrency, you need to define its purpose, choose a blockchain platform, and decide whether to create a new blockchain or build on an existing one. Additionally, consider legal compliance, security measures, and a marketing strategy to promote your coin effectively.

Crypto money is scary dangerous....not just from the volatility either.

In the future it's going to become worthless.

What's even scarier is that there will no longer be any secrets anywhere anymore. There is no firewall or encryption key that can stop quantum computing.

AI with q-bit computing power....it's coming. And likely pissed off at mankind.

Crypto exists for today, and for whatever flaws it may have, it has already been somewhat accepted into the financial world/ economy.

My (patent-pending) idea is a way to base crypto on something much more solid than some guy's data mining computer and his ability to solve an intentionally created math problem. More based than BitCoin.

Nobody has to participate unless they want to.

Crypto is intentionally being built upon the idea of escaping (decentralizing) that aspect. No banks, no oversight, no boundaries,

We are already Patent Pending.

Patents take at least a year, and in some cases (financial patents) can take even longer.

Yes, all of that is in my patent applications!

It costs a lot of money to get those details written in.

Edit: As for marketing, it's in the very first stages. I have over a year for the patent to be awarded (no guarantee) and to build and test what is called a "micro-pilot." It's like a proof of concept.

During all of that, I am also trying to find someone with enough money and interest in the idea to buy or license it.

It's too much for me to do on my own.

Currency only has value as long as it is a means of exchange and is "legal tender".

Currently crypto currency is a pseudo money. Only valuable because people desire it.

US dollars are fiat money just like crypto currency but the difference is the "legal tender" label US dollars have.

The thing with gold, silver, platinum, or uranium is that they are inherently valuable. Now some of these metals are what are classified as industrial metals....meaning you can turn them into industrial purposes like catalytic converters, electrical contacts, or fuel for electrical generators. Others can be made into jewelry....all desirable materials but also a means of exchange that have long lifespans. But all have a half life....silver has a half life of roughly 25 years....meaning that half of all existing silver is degraded by industrial use and becomes unrecoverable...AKA destroyed.

Cryptocurrencies have other issues.....a short half life dependent upon electricity. Also difficult verification of what you are receiving is genuine currency vs the many fraudulent currencies out there. Also not broad acceptance....meaning because only a few people have deposits the prices are subject to the whims of the large holders.

A FEW places like restaurants or other places accept crypto for payments but charge a 20-25% exchange fee for doing so.

Now with security concerns growing higher every day....this is going to destabilize all crypto currencies.

Crypto has advanced far beyond many of the concerns you are expressing here.

You should consider the fact that there are several "crypto" currencies now working in partnership with Visa, so that you can make purchases with your crypto - anywhere- where Visa is accepted.
