That is unless you claim to be a "libertarian" or an "independent", then nobody will care about your thoughts about current events.

I meant that there are basically two main factions of USMB posters: Those who love Trump and those who hate him. Then there's a small minority of those irresponsibles who say "Don't blame me, I don't like both sides."

You'd have to admit, USMB is for the most part, pretty darned polarized.

I am an independent libertarian, and other than the rather large number of female posters begging me to father their next child, I am generally ignored around here.

I don't really have any point of reference, but I've noted over the years that every poll taken here always ends up about 66% to 75% conservative leaning, and about 25% to 33% far left liberal whackjob.

Since membership here is essentially random, I assume this fairly reflects most of the country.

And most every libertarian/independent usually:

• 75% of the time ends up being a closest democrat siding with them on everything anyway (Mac1958).
• 25% of the time ends up being a clueless lout who sees no difference at all between Biden and Trump.

BS.....All level-headed folks with common sense have a (small l) libertarian streak in them and despise carrying water for any particular party.....That's why Trump appeals to so many of us.

I can dislike both RINOs and leftists with equal enthusiasm while at the same time support something like the utility of abortion and not miss a beat.

BINGO. The real, democrat base only accounts for about 20-25% of the country. The rest is all done through riots, mostly peaceful protests, obnoxious politicians, and abusive control of the media, all funded with billions and billions of our tax dollars to fund the big, loud, rotten machine.

This could be Trump's greatest real accomplishment--- with no real fanfare for the actual goal, Trump is cutting off and starving the left of every dime he can, cutting literally multiple billions of dollars out of the progressive machine.

It is going to knock the living shit out of their next election possibilities!

Abortion has no utility. You get pregnant, you give birth. The only function abortion has is in the case of medical complication threatening the life of the mother, or if, say, a woman is raped and does not want to carry the stranger's child.

Beyond that, it is pretty much just murdering the unborn because they cannot object, complain, nor hire an attorney in their defense.
