My name is Lü Honglai, and I'm an early democracy activist in the People's Republic of China.

In 1979, he participated in the Xidan Democracy Wall Movement and served as editor-in-chief of the pro-democracy publications Bohai Bay and This Magazine. Due to his long-standing political activism, he was detained, arrested, and imprisoned by the Chinese government four times, and subsequently dismissed from his position. In 2008, he went into exile abroad and was resettled in the United States through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 2012.

I am honored to be with you at this forum today. First, I'd like to say hello!

First you begin speaking of yourself in the First Person (My, I'm) quickly switching into the Third Person (he) while still speaking of yourself as another person.

That makes you either a fraud or just very bad at English. Either way, I'll still regard you as an enemy person of suspicion as all people in China work for the State.
