Austin commanded US forces in Iraq, was the Army vice-chief of staff, and was in charge of the Central Command. 40 years of active duty military service, including two wars. .

I hope the GOP back him up and pound him through, if only for the reason that he was Trump's nominee and a president with a clear mandate should normally get his pick of people unless there is really something egregiously wrong with him.

And because democrats never fold their cards. They even stuck behind Biden until the very last when it was clear in the debate the guy was no longer able to run. Worse, Biden just told the world that being a gun felon is OK, being a drug criminal is OK and it is just fine to be a sex criminal as well! Hunter is above the law after all!

While I philosophically disagree with most of Trump's picks, most of them are qualified to run their respective departments. Sure, the Puppy Killer is kind of an idiot, but she's qualified to run a large organization.

Gaetz withdrew and got replaced with Biondi, who is qualified and in alignment with Trump's goals. no one is complaining about her.
