Have "White Russians" been literally white too?

I mean generally Russians are white, or generally caucasian, but some a slightly euroasian and there in the soviet union there have been some minorities who are fringe or slightly euroasian hence the stereotype of the "mongol russians who rape". But have "white russians" literally been whiter too racially like more "nordid" for example and/or mentally like less "savage" "or barbarian" and more aristocratic?
