It doesn't really matter to me in the end why they vote the way they do. Their intent doesn't change the effect that their vote would have on me and my loved ones. I can hate them for the result as easily as for the why. Anyway, who's Bill Maher to tell anyone how to feel and for what reason? In fact there's a good argument to be made that you have no control over what you feel than you do over what the natural color of your hair is. All you control is how you behave in response to those feelings.

Actually, yes it is. It's always up to us to identify improper hatred and judge it for what it is. All you're doing is saying I can't force anyone to agree with me. That's not what I'm trying to do. This is an exercise in persuasion. Stop hating people for their voting preference. If you aren't persuaded that's your problem.
