The 2 year Treasury yield this morning is 3.4%. That looks pretty good to me, I'm thinking of buying some and was wondering if anyone has purchased treasuries and/or if they used TreasuryDirect.com to buy them?

Yes. Just setup the account and bid at an upcoming auction. If you wish to sell early, you'll need to transfer the securities to a broker. TD is purchase only, except for I bonds.

Anything on paper labeled "US Treasury" is toilet paper as far as I'm concerned.

Charmin is cheaper.

Brass, copper, lead, silver and gold is the only thing that will be of value in the near future as far as I can see.
