Harvest organs from executed prisoners?

A condemned Ohio murderer wants to donate his organs to his mother who is suffering from kidney disease. The question is whether it would be ethical to harvest organs from an executed prisoner even with his consent. The other question is the effect of the lethal injection on the organs and whether the transplant recipient would be able to sue if they were contaminated.

Anesthetize him take the organs and then overdose him on the operating table.

I don't see any ethical problem with that.
