I kind of understand the message, or maybe I'm injecting it with too much of my own personality.

If you world hard, try your best and want to do a good job that even if you fail you still won because you actually tried as hard as you could. The only real losers are the ones that don't give it everything they have.

But, you can still do your best and be defeated. In a sport all that matters is the score at the end. If you don't have the better score you've been defeated. So saying even if you lose you'll be undefeated is wrong.

She could have worded it a lot better. But, she is stupid. Intelligence, speaking abilities and grasp of the English language have defeated her.
