50% higher? We buy Albertson brand wheat bread. When Biden took office we were paying 85 cents per large loaf. It had been that price for years. We now pay $1.89 for a smaller loaf of the same bread. That's a far sight more than 50% increase. A head of lettuce that was about 70 cents then is $1.99. Extra lean hamburger which is the only hamburger we buy costs now what a top premium ribeye steak cost then.

when people were begging to go back to work, they kept small businesses shut down all over the country, for WAY to long.Without any scientific evidence the shutdowns even did anything. All while they kept liquor stores, strip clubs, and big chain stores open. They broke a lot of peoples backs and they have never recovered, and then they continued with the pumping of money into the economy, creating inflation.
Ill tell you one thing I would have done, taken emergency measures to really lower fuel prices and keep them down, to help lower the cost of goods. It would have taken lifting some restrictions on oil companies but it could have been done on an emergency basis. Instead, we see how guys like Newsom in California came out with new taxes against oil companies. Now Kamala is talking price controls... but I would be pretty warry of that. Grocery stores have very slim profit margins, and you might see shutdowns, layoffs and shortages.
Again, who would be most adversly afected? Americas poorest people , thats who.

As for your excuses relative to what the top 1 percent pays, create a living wage and you'll create more people paying taxes.
