On July 4 1776 and days before one of the major debate issues before the Contenintal Congress was the slavery issue. Interesting moment in our history. Makes interesting reading.

My great-great-great-great-great, great uncle signed the Declaration of Independence. But I'm not going to use that connection to run for Congress, or the presidency.

because that was over 200 years ago, just like that photo depicts people over 200 years ago.

people are changing the names of buildings, moving statues, because of something that happened 150+ years ago. why are they trying to change history? are they going to destroy books that tell the facts? if you want to change history, invent a time machine.

all the whining in the world isn't going to change what happened.
