Responses to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk are continuing Friday, and some controversial comments from local officials are surfacing.

Backlash is being directed at Hamilton County judge Ted Berry, who posted harsh words after Kirk was shot and killed.

In a post he said, “Rest in Hatred and Division,” and in another said, “How’s he feel about gun violence & gun control in Hell, now?”

Berry also made a racially charged comment on the situation, saying “So, a white guy killed him! Color it KARMA!

Berry was on the board of the Joe Burrow Foundation, which made a statement Friday night but did not name Berry.

“We have terminated an advisory board member that made inappropriate remarks in light of recent events and they are no longer associated with the foundation,” the statement said.

The prosecutor is especially worrisome, because they have the ability to file charges even if they are not justified.

If you don't like people being fired for this type of thing, ask yourself if you'd get fair justice from either of them.

.

I'm surprised that one hot shot from University of South Dakota ended up in the "NO LONGER EMPLOYED BIG MOUTH" category. Didn't know we really had those here.

I can't say if this is accurate or not but even if it's half that it just goes to show what happens when right-leaners go with our own special kind of "woke".

Gird your loins dems, we haven't even got going good yet and you people are too full of yourselves to have covered your tracks.

Seems like that's a vast underestimate.

I am 100% fine with people losing their jobs over their vile remarks. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequence.

Everyone that has a job is at the leisure of their employer, and that job can be taken at any time, for any reason within the law.
