So, why didn't Hamas allow Gazans to use the dozens of tunnels as shelter? Countless lives would have been saved. After all, the cement used to make them was meant for Gazans, not Hamas.

Remember during cast lead when hamas evicted thousands of women and children from a tunnel so the leadership could hide away like the cowards they are. It was mentioned in the Goldstone report but was never actioned by the UN as a war crime or crime against humanity

The Palestinians claimed the tunnels were necessary for basic human needs denied by Israel such as food & water. I never knew weapons & explosives are basic human needs.
