Regardless, it's one of my most favorite tree scenes inside a home.

I LOOOOOVE silver tinsel on trees!!!!

I think they look nekkid without a shit load of tinsel!!!

I have a few packages of the really old school tinsel that's metal, instead of mylar. Cool stuff! I take it off and save it to use again. I'm placing the tree in your picture in the late 50's or early 60's and that tinsel is probably the metal kind.

I also like themed trees.
Plain lights on a themed tree is acceptable, as the theme takes away from the boring plain lights.

I don't know why, but the BEST C'mas tree's are the ones made out of aluminum!!!!

OMG, NO! We lived in Southern California for one year and we had an aluminum tree there. and it just wan't right. It must be a California thing.

I like the C'mas decorations, but the holiday itself I can live without.

Are you kidding!?! Christmas is the best and most magical time of the year. There's this poem I know that talks about how Christmas is for children,.. but isn't it wonderful that at Christmastime that grownups are children too. Of course of I'm a big kid all year around.

You have a childlike happiness about you. I love that. Don't ever lose that.

I started to break traditions when my daughter was 18, took a plane to Hawaii for a vacation on the beach.... That was 39 yrs ago, don't miss it...I did the decorations, gifts, cards etc long enough and I'm done.
