Um, what is Grok?

It's Elon's AI chatbot. It's generally pretty good. I don't use them often, but man, if you are looking for info on car symptoms and possible causes, it's the tits! I tend to use the one built into the Opera browser, called Aria. It doesn't identify the person asking questions. I also like Microsoft CoPilot, but it is tied to my Win11, so it knows and likely logs all my queries.

I have found all of them lacking in comprehension: I asked for a list of 76 key synthesizer/workstations available that include Aftertouch (a synth feature). It gave me a list that included Yamaha, Korg, Roland, Nord, but no Kurzweil. When I pointed out that it left off the PC4-7, which I own, it said "You're right! That's also a great keyboard blah, blah, blah". So don't rely on them as the final word. But they can be useful in searching multiple sources quickly. It was able to tell me the correct internal battery on a 1980s-era JL Cooper FaderMaster. That would have taken me a while to find.
