Yawning. Nobody cares what some woke Harvard chick has to say.

Or your ESL street vermin *mostly came in illegally" perhaps? Thru the last 4 years wide open border. Who knows? Taxachewsit don't check. Anything goes under Deep State D.

At one time you claimed the doors on your school open for former students to "stop by" and visit? Are you on dope? In these days? Trans shooters? Bangers with a grudge?

Commentary from a communist government newspaper

How timely that Harvard just happened to choose her at this particular moment in history

But china does donate huge sums of money to a grateful university

I think this problem can be argued both ways

300,000 chinese students will contain a fair number of spies who are stealing American technology and taking it back to china

But of that number others are bound to see the superiority of our economic and political system

And they will take that back to china also

Will it make up for the theft of intellectual property?

I dont know

Damn that freedom of speech!
Etiquette, manners, civility is huge in a free nation. We seem to be a country of a growing number of loose cannons now. Politics has become like 2nd and 3rd world nations as they enter potential revolution stage. A nation has to afford what people protest for. And no matter how much revenue is added, it is never enough. And the allegiance side goes along with that in domestic and foreign views.

First ever Chinese student speaker at Harvard graduation eludes to the elephant in the room. We'll see how all this plays out. Harvard is taking a hit regardless.
Diversity dictates that they have co-speakers from all of the special protected classes.
Chinese, blacks, Latinos, and female's transitioning to male...as well as males wearing wigs.
Maybe they could sometime have the first Chinese paraplegic transsexual give a speech.

Asians typically get the best grades, yet this is the first time a Chinese student spoke at a graduation?

If you read history, this is not the first time the US has had loose cannons.

The students seem to be well disciplined.

I think the Chinese girl got accepted and had a student visa.

This was clearly an "in your face" move by Harvard against Trump.

"The elephant in the room" seem a particularly bad analogy.

That phrase alludes to a topic that should be foremost on everyone's mind, but is being ignored for whatever reason. That does not describe criticism of Donald Trump.
