With corporate real estate prices dropping through the floor .. it wouldn't surprise me. Louisville, as an example, is losing many corporation due to sell-offs in the downtown Louisville, Kentucky area including Humana, Louisville Gas & Electric and 5/3 bank. Primarily driven by local policies where the downtown area is unsafe and talent is leaving the Louisville for other areas in the United States where they promote and focus on good talent.

New York has clearly been hurting themselves for years. Much like Toronto, without federal support from much smaller, more responsible states, they would be broke. The wealthy fools there fear he will remove SALT again. The national taxpayer paying the write offs of overpriced homes property taxes in places like LA and NY.

Who will invest in NY with such arbitrary, vindictive, business discouraging rules?

Who will be a tourist there when illegal immigrants attack uniformed cops in gangs?

Who will be a tourist there when being Jewish could mean being attacked or having to concerned for your safety due to the massive number of radical pro-Hamas protesters?

New York, like Toronto (and Ontario); has done it to themselves. Poorly managed, contrary to a meritocracy.
