Just took these while outside having a cig. Web caught my eye because it is just flowing with the breeze and looked so...well...fetching. Spider webs fascinate me. So do ants. But this guy/gal made one awesome web and probably took it forever. So many strands, with thicker ones as anchors.

First pic is of the spider in it's tiny cozy shell house. Second pic is its back and front yard waiting to catch a gnat or skeeter or something small since it is such a delicate web.

Just thought I'd share.

I think that one thicker strand in the center of the second pic is a strand of my hair that it used for extra umph. I really do.

cool! I posted a pic of a spider web maybe a month ago. It was a classic looking web, but only about 3/8 inch across.

I have lots of webs in the yard, but that one...its like a gossamer blanket over tiny sea shells. I told Mr/Ms Spider it was just lovely and I would make sure to not damage it when watering. It stayed quiet but did twitch its leg. :)

I have to destroy spider webs to walk out of the front door..

I never saw any pics

This bugger has been outside the back door for a month..Never seems to move..

Decided to find images for gossamer spider webs on the net and found these:

Imagine the work involed. Then a light rain jeweling up the web. Stunning.

I guess since I'm a gross pig, Gracie won't let me see her photos...
If the shoe fits.
Meanwhile, everyone else doesn't seem to have a problem seeing the pics.
