This isn't going to be enough. As time goes by and Hillary's two of clubs turns into aces against Trump, the GOP refusing to DO ANYTHING about Trump will be seen as weakness to control their own house...and will actually accelerate the demise of their party.

They need to get over thinking the Trump voter is about Trump. They're not. They're about someone HAVING BALLS TO GET CREATIVE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. The name "Trump" isn't necessary to that formula.. They backed Trump on the right because they're sick of the GOP establishment being waffling eunuchs when it comes to important issues hitting right at the heart of the culture they grew up loving. As sexually-deranged men invade women's showers and restrooms with the blessing of 'law'/royal decree from our affirmative action president, the Trumpees were staring at the GOP's CONSPICUOUS SILENCE and saying WTF???!!!

They THINK Trump will be the cure. And that's only because they can barely think and are going on reptilian reaction. I bet the house that if the GOP grew the same pair of balls Trump has, and got their own house in order and started slamming down some of the uber-left bullshit, that they could graft the Trumpees onto a substitute; even this late in the game.

Not really. The Democrats survived McGovern and Mondale, the Republicans survived Nixon.

Hillary winning would probably be a net gain for the GOP. They will do very well in 2018 when all those Democrat Senators who road in Obama's coattails are up again. In 2020, if they manage to nominate a sensible governor who doesn't kow-tow to the crazies, they have a good chance of beating Hillary who would be very unpopular by then.

The same party hasn't won four times in a row since 1944.

Oh, I'm sure she does. But the GOP can't get Trump off the ticket if they wanted to.

The notion that you put forth is they need to take him off now before he does real damage is silly. The GOP was back in power five years after Nixon resigned.

The very fact that a mutant like Trump will STILL get 40% of the vote tells me the GOP can recover.

Maybe now the GOP will look to find decent candidate for 2020 (assuming the GOP and the USA still exist at that point)..... a Conservative who has some sense of public relations acccumen.

If they nominate another Establishment Hack they will lose again

If they nominate a Pseudo Conservative they will lose again.

If they nominate a Conservative-in-words-only they will lose again.

If they nominate a Conservative with no public relations sense they will lose again.

They need to find a Walk-the-Talk Conservative who understands basic put license relations and campaigning.
