It seems like in following God that we are just leaving it up to nature to decide. A lot of inspirational quotes about God are just two subject's juxtaposed so that God or doing nothing, leaving it up to nature, will answer your problems. Prophecy is sort of the same way. Although we are aware of it, it mostly plays out on its own and not much can be done about it.You have to count in for the fact that people have been really wrong about meaning in the bible before, some of those people mainstream. But how do you teach prophecy if no one is sure of the exact meaning? It's not till afterwards that we generally look back and say something was right. and A LOT of people get it wrong.

The verses have multiple meanings, in the past by the literal historic meaning, in the present to your current situation or benefit and how this helps you in the here and now, and in the general pattern and process connecting your local individual path with the rest of collective humanity and history.

The truth is all levels, both relative/individual in focus, and the collective global scale.

So whatever you use to capture understand and communicate between you and God is still true. There are relative expressions and experiences, there are absolute univeral truths.

In Christ we reconcile the two levels.

So the love of man on a physical earthly level and the love of God on a higher universal heavenly level collective
Are joined as one in Christ Jesus who is both the Son of God and of Man as Lord governing us all.

There is no conflict that cannot be resolved by agreeing to receive God's true love and will.

It may work better to think of it not so much as following God, but following God's Way. Love of God, love of our fellow man in everything we do each day. At the end of the day...how could I have loved better. Was I just in my expectations of others. (We should have appreciable expectations of others because people rise to expectations.) Apply all this to your life and your problems as they are now.

First, all prophecy relates to the day/time of the prophecy. They come about from people of that time reading the writing on the wall. What we are trying to do today is to learn from the past, remembering that the more things change, the more they remain the same--especially when it comes to human nature.
