I realize that you think all jobs should be good paying jobs. That has never been the case and it never will be. The lefty loonies are already starting to claim that $15 per hour is not a living wage. But, for a history lesson:
The living wage back in 1938 was .25 cents per hour and back in those days just about every family was a one wage earner. Adjusted for inflation that living wage would currently be $5.28 per hour in 2022. Now, remember, that is just with a one wage earner. These days most families have TWO wage earners. So, with two wage earners in the home today, making the $7.25 per hour federal minimum wage, that comes out to $14.50 per hour for a family living wage today while the 1938 living wage for just the one wage earner would be $5.28 per hour, adjusted for inflation. So, a two worker family earning today's federal minimum wage, is actually earning $9.22 per hour more than the inflation adjusted living wage of 1938 of $5.28 per hour for a family.
