I think the thing that is most disturbing about these acts is that they're being done in full light of day. It's not like suddenly things disappear and no one can figure out what happened to the data. They just remove and replace stuff and it's obvious that they've done so. So they either are not worried about any repercussions due to their acts (because they know there will not be any) or they're simply idiots although I guess both could be true.
