Germany sends old, rusty Vehicles from the GDR to Ukraine in their loosing battle.

The PbV-501 is a "modification", or rather, downgrade of the BMP-1. The auto-loader was removed and they even removed the ATGMs were also removed as they were deemed unsafe back then.

Do these German idiots really think that an inferior version of the BMP-1 is gonna tip the scales?

Won’t hurt

Even older armored vehicles help on the battlefield. If Ukraine doesn’t want them, don’t accept them

Well it's not like the square-heads could send them Leopard II MBTs.....They only have 12 serviceable ones. :laughing0301:

One thing about it, if the Czechs are getting them up to snuff they will be about as good as a BMP-1 can be.....Which is not saying much.

They don’t have to be in great shape to ferry all the surrendering Russian soldiers off the battlefield.

They will all be destroyed before they can even fire a single shot.

Germans sends them trash, we will happily scrap it for them.

All I see getting destroyed are Russian tanks and helicopters. Is Putin actually claiming they’re winning?!?! :auiqs.jpg:
Then you should also see the many ammo depots and bases our Iskanders and Kalibr have destroyed, even the recruitement center in Lvov, where foreign volunteers trained, among them even US veterans. They all ran back to Poland. Clearly, American soldiers were never trained to deal with a real army with its own Airforce and missiles.

Sending shitty commie equipment?
Commies can't build shit, eh comrade?

Russia hasn't been communist since 1991 stupid English.

Our current weapons are currently destroying all the trash that your countries are sending to the Ukrainian puppets.
Keep telling yourself that as the mighty Russian Army remains bogged down due to poor planning and weak execution

17,000 dead in an invasion that was supposed to be a cakewalk

Germany is not sending Ukraine these old IFV's.
They were sent to Sweden over 20 years ago.

It's just a technicality that Berlin has to approve the sale first.

Jeez people...how about reading the article in full BEFORE you comment on it?

Vietnam won, didn't they? They got given whatever the USSR sent. One thing isn't going to tip the balance, but clearly a lot of things have. People predicted that the Ukraine would fall in DAYS. It's been more than a month now and Russia is pulling back.

How many weeks now has it been since Pootin ordered the invasion and yet the Ukraine is holding on and killing Pooting weakly trained military…

Have the Soviets ever won battles against U.S. equipped forces? Must have been a couple, and only with overwhelming odds; we know they were constantly embarassesd in the ME against much weaker enemies.

Well, that's apples and oranges a bit.
These ex-German IFV's should be useful...but they are miles from state-of-the-art.
Whereas the Russians sent the NVA some of their latest equipment - like SA-2 AA missile systems, thousands of modern AA guns, Mig-21 fighters, modern tanks and artillery and ammunition/parts/advisors for all of these.

We should also wait until the war is over to decide what the Russian goals really were.
Were they to take over Ukraine proper?
If so - they look like they will fail unless they throw a LOT more at Ukraine.
Or was it just to secure the Donbas and a buffer zone on the eastern side of it to prevent Ukraine from continuing to shell the breakaway regions (which they have been doing since April 2014) PLUS scare the Ukraine out of allowing NATO in?

If the latter is what they wanted? They are winning that battle as Ukraine has already said they will abandon becoming part of NATO. Plus they are making lots of headway in securing the Donetsk and Luhansk territories.

And now that Russia has pulled forces from the Kiev area? They can concentrate them in the Donbass...where combat is still going on.

I have no idea.

But it is hard for me to believe that Russia actually thought they could conquer ALL of Ukraine with the forces they allocated - knowing that NATO would surely render assistance (as they have).
Because it is OBVIOUS they were not remotely enough.

Time will tell.
