The Metamorphosis is a novella written by Franz Kafka in 1912 and first published in 1915.

A lesson in this story that a lot of people could learn from if they feel the need to to take care of those who really need no care. Sometimes kicking them out the door will cause them to respect you more then being their mother hen.
Steppenwolf by Hermen Hess . As a teen I became so engrossed in this story I never noticed the library closed . I looked up and the only light was the one at my table. As I left the librarian said I didn't want to disturb you.
