It's faulty thinking for sure, then again if you were raised with certain 'truisms' or as I said earlier, bad experiences and then project onto 'all', it doesn't mean that you are overall unintelligent. It will hold you back though from experiencing everything you might. It will close doors of opportunities.

It can be changed, but the approach matters.
