Always unfortunate to see our team lose. I even had a potentially a nice chunk of change to win if the bills would’ve won the Super Bowl.

We had to count our blessings as Americans privilege to grow up in the greatest country of the world. Especially now with wokeism, hopefully defeated. A lot Places in the world people are making 100 and $300 a month struggling tremendously.

I liberated myself after the bill loss from this mindset of being all upset about the team losing …And again, I could’ve won a nice amount of money if they would’ve won the Super Bowl. So for most of the Bills fans who don’t bet on the games btw, don’t let yourself get upset about this. There’s just so much more to love about America and life and the world.

its a game .. you win some.... you lose some .. the Bills will be back in the running and the playoffs next season ..

I was pulling for the Bills simply because I'm sick of Mahomes, but the Bills certainly sucked the big one tonight blowing chunks all over.
They were simply outplayed and outcoached right from the git go.
KC deserves to go to the big game.

I agree that it felt like it was perhaps going to be a blowout after the first drive. But here’s the thing that actually happened in the first two playoff games for the bills. They got down seven nothing but ended up winning. And this game was extremely close. Tremendous effort by both teams. I mean in the end it was only a 3 point game.

Mahomes is a guy Kansas City fans absolutely love and many people in the NFL love to hate. He is perhaps the greatest quarterback in the NFL history. With time we will know…We will see if if he gets more championships than Brady. Hard to imagine any team being able to knock off Mahomes in the next decade. He Is that good with a great defensive coordinator and head coach.

In order for Buffalo to beat the Chiefs they really need to have the best record in the regular season. Or for Mahomes to be injured in one of the future years.

The main point of this thread is to remind fellow bills fans it’s just not worth it to be super angry going into this week. The world goes on. There will be Bill‘s fans calling for the head coach Mcdermont to be fired or blaming the tight end for dropping the ball. I got so bad last year when bass missed the field goal to tie the game in the playoffs. Some bills fans were calling for his death. Just disgraceful.

I mean, I expect children to be crying after a loss like this. As an 11-year-old when the bills lost the music City miracle to the titans on the kickoff return I was crying. I’m not not gonna lie. But I was 11.

But I don’t expect grown men in Buffalo to be super super angry to the point of screaming at their wife or going on a rant on Twitter making threats against Bill’s players. That did happen last year. I’m hoping it doesn’t happen This year.

The Bills played poorly? Which game were you watching?

I’m a lions fan. We know not to get too upset. Of course we don’t expect to win. Your problem is thinking you’re going to win.

Didn’t your team lose 4 superbowls in a row? Was that buffalo? Jim Kelly? So you guys in some ways have had it worse than Detroit. I mean that has to hurt to go to 4 straight and never get it done. Fuck me.

Now you can’t even make it that far because Kansas City is in your division.

Win or lose we love the game. Admit it.

Yes but I was only a young child in the early 90s so I never even watched the games or understood them at that point… at least they got to the big game in those days which is a huge difference compared to not making the Super Bowl.

This year the lions had home field throughout the whole conference playoffs, so that had to be a very difficult pill to swallow. But in the NFL each round is only one game so anything could happen in that situation.

Thankfully the Chiefs are not in the AFC East …idk if they will be on the Bills schedule next year…. they have been for the past few years so maybe not next year. The Bills have been able to beat the Chiefs btw, but it was in Buffalo.

The Bills are 4 and 0 against the Chiefs in the regular season. 0 and 4 in the playoffs.

Yes it's better to make the Superbowl and lose than to not make the Superbowl but losing the Superbowl is the hard pill to swallow. Because you have high hopes that get crushed. As a lion fan we don't ever get high hopes. Maybe this year some dummies got their hopes up but not me. The lions, and the Bills, will have to win it all before I'm convinced they aren't cursed.

Usually when 2 QB's or two teams are equals, eventually the Josh Allen beats the Patrick Mahomes because he wants it more. Let's face it. Josh Allen is not as good as Patrick Mahomes.

Many things are true at once.
  • KC played very well.
  • Buffalo played very well
  • 3 game changing plays went 3-0 to the Chiefs.

I’m not saying it was “rigged”…. Buffalo could have won, but this game will do the NFL no favors as far as trying to combat the refs/Chiefs “relationship” over the past 4-5 years.

It’s sad that it comes down to these kind of calls with so much athletic talent and performance on the field.

Remember the Jordan rules? 6 rings later....

Not sure how that applies… and the rings came after the NBA clearly dictated that their darling couldn’t be touched. Jordan lived at the FT line in the 90’s.. many deserved, but many given

You were talking about trying to combat the refs/Chiefs “relationship”

Reminded me of the Michael/refs relationship.

Went over my head, read it wrong.

A lot of Jordan’s history has been mythologized.. and that’s not to take away from anything he actually did or accomplished, but I’ve never seen a player have so much propaganda and indoctrination from a generation…

Gen X-early millennial fan-boys bought the “be like Mike” NBA/Nike/ESPN propaganda and made him into near divinity as they became sports writers and pundits. It clearly holds a very special place in their hearts, and it shows in their “reporting” (or evangelism).

I love him too. I hated him when he was playing but he is the GOAT. I know Lebron has the numbers but numbers don't always matter. Just like Mahomes doesn't have to win 7 championships to become the GOAT. Maybe 2 more Superbowls and people will start saying Mahomes is the GOAT because of how he won. Mahomes is amazing. Tom was great too but perhaps Mahomes is a better QB. Certainly a better athlete. Just like Lebron is the superior physical specimen to Jordan.

It was the way Jordan won. First, he got educated by the Bad Boys, Larry Bird and Lakers. Then he dominated 3 straight years. Took a break, then came back and won 3 straight again.

Come on man. If it was a movie you'd say that's not realistic. Unbelievable.

It took Lebron 20 plus years and still doesn't have as many rings as MJ. Sure Jordan had better teams but Jordan was also better in the finals too. Jordan got the flu, still won. Lebron got cramps and his ass kicked.

For now. A lot is yet to unfold in the next 10 years, we will see what happens. Mahomes has an excellent head coach and defensive coordinator. With regards to the bills Chiefs rivalry in the past five years will count the most would be the playoffs. And the Chiefs have prevailed in those playoff games. It helps that they have had home-field advantage …. three out of four of the last playoff games featuring the bills and Chiefs have been in Kansas City.

Personally, I would much rather see my team make the Super Bowl. The thing is there is a two week waiting Period between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. So knowing that your team is in, it is a beautiful thing. Especially during that two week wait.. That’s just the way I feel about it.

The thing is a lot of folks thought the Boston Red Sox were forever cursed when they got rid of Babe Ruth. But eventually they won a World Series again. The story has been repeated countless times in sports histories.

In the next five years a Lions versus Bills Super Bowl is not out of the realm of possibility

I sympathize with this. That critical fourth down call where one official marked Josh Allen having a first down another official did not mark him having a first down. I wonder what was the original ruling before reviewing it. I missed what the original ruling was, but that was kind of an upsetting one as it was late in the game.

Also, the other one where there was a tie up between the bills cornerback and the Kansas City wide receiver and the ball clearly hit the ground, but it was called a catch for Kansas City anyway

It’s a good point but do you think that is possible that LeBron James is catered to more than Jordan. Scotty Pippen brought up an interesting point on the Pbd podcast recently. Pippin said that at least back in the 90s fans were allowed to get into faces of players and trash talk. Now i’m not talking about getting physical with players obviously. Like with that Ron Artest brawl thing. I’m talking about fans from the stands basically trash talking the players. Happened a bunch of times in the 90s.

Nowadays if fans do that they get Ejected from the game sometimes. Pretty surreal considering the huge contracts NBA players get today even though they’re ratings are down 50% this year.

It's supposed to be impossible for a team to stay together long enough to win this many Superbowls. But if you have a great organization that's winning, maybe it's easier to keep players who might be able to make more on another team. Is $1 million more a year worth going to a shitty team when you already make $3 million a year? For some it is I'm sure.

So as a Lion's fan, we think we only have 1 year left before we start losing players to trades or free agency. Sucks. Yet the Bills and Chiefs seem to stay strong year after year after year after year. Or Green Bay. Every fucking year they're good. Lose Bret Favre, get Aaron Rogers. Lose him, find Love. WTF? LOL

I can't wait till the Chiefs become the Golden State Warriors. Right now they are in 11th place. 22 and 23. Or they become the Patriots. 4 and 13 record this year.

That’s just a sign of the times. Jordan was much more of a diva in the 90’s than those who mythologized him admit, and if you glorify him from early on and give him all the things that modern players got or get, he’d be a product of his generation.

The mythologizers make Jordan into a working mans man… when in reality he was whining and bitching at the refs routinely to give him calls.
