DEM (and phony deep state middlers) have the Country near fiscal collapse. Massive ramp up since 2020. Since Obiden 1.0 opened spigot, $29T gone.

GAO Fraud Estimate: The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that the federal government loses between $233 billion and $521 billion annually to fraud, based on data from fiscal years 2018 to 2022. This range represents 3% to 7% of federal spending, with the upper end reflecting higher-risk environments such as pandemic-related relief programs.

You`re probably right, but the Pentagon budget is off the table. Nothing has changed since the days of the $600 toilet seats, $435 dollar hammers and $7,000 for an aircraft coffee maker.
