ps Emirates and Qatar paid off what Syria owed to World Bank - 15 million or so.This will allow Syria to take on new debt (that they dearly need). Syrians still have some 20 billion of outstanding debt, largely owed to Moscow and Iranian empires and nobody will give them money to pay those countries
