Iām not opposed to The Donald, but I am far from certain he is my kind of conservative:
Every wannabeās sales pitch hands out bullcrap strained through a media filter; so I usually check the warts and the pimples before I settle on THE ONE. I can live with a guy who has a pimple or two. I cannot live with a guy who has warts. Anybody who I determine is a closet United Nations pimp starts out with a wart the size of a golf ball.
I know better than look for a candidate with clear skin. Media top choices are always loaded with warts. Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, John Kasich, and a few others each have more warts than Hillary Clinton & Company as far as I am concerned. A few others have pimples.

The media pumped up John Kasich as soon as he announced, while, with the exception of Bret Baierās Center Seat, the rest of the media reported on Jim Gilmore as though he broke from the starting gate after the crowd went home.
Based on what Gilmore had to say in the video, he has some pimples, but I did not see any warts. His comments on the Iran Deal sounded good in that he must realize that dumping the non-treaty/treaty will offend the United Nations crowd. Offending the UN is always a big plus. Not knowing how Gilmore feels about withdrawing from the United Nations altogether makes me cautious about giving him a standing ovation, but he did begin well on foreign policy. The question is: Will he run foreign policy? or will State Department traitors run him?
Constitutional authority
A president has the most authority in foreign policy. On the domestic side, presidents are only salesmen for their political partyās domestic agenda.
Presidents traditionally take a hit for one or two foreign policy blunders. I believe that nothing good came out of an administration that is, itself, one huge blunder.
Worldwide Socialism
If Chris Matthews was sincere he would have asked Wasserman the difference between Democrats and Republicans who refuse to defund any of Socialismās domestic tentacles.
Republicans Boehner and McConnell hide behind Taqiyya the Liarās veto for not doing the things most Americans are for. Republicans did not have the veto shield when they had the Congress and the White House with Bush the Younger, and they still refused to do anything for Americans. Planned Parenthood got richer, immigration got worse to name two items Republicans in charge refused to touch. They will probably hold both Houses, and get the White House in 2016, but nothing will change if another establishment Republican is nominated. It goes without saying that every Democrat being considered by the media will give the country more Chicago sewer rat betrayals.
Bottom line: Socialists got everything they wanted domestically for at least 60 years while nobody was watching that they also got everything they wanted in foreign policy, too. I cannot see anything except more of the same:
CLARIFICATION: Chris Matthews did not ask Wasserman to embarrass her for the good of the country. He asked to remind MSNBCās audience that the media is still working for Communism as I detailed in this thread:

In a televised moment that could haunt the Democratic Party for years to come, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee awkwardly struggled to answer and then ducked a question from MSNBC about the difference between a socialist and a Democrat.
The exchange occurred when āHardballā host Chris Matthews asked Debbie Wasserman Schultz about the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described socialist who is running for president as a Democrat.
While Sanders has not been shy about his affinity for socialism, the exchange between Schultz and Matthews may betray a relationship the Democratic Party has taken great pains to hide.
The forgotten history revolves around the central role played by the Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA, in founding the Congressional Progressive Caucus, or CPC, the largest membership organization within the Democratic Caucus of Congress, currently with 69 declared members.

The DSA is the largest socialist organization in the United States and is the principal U.S. affiliate of Socialist International, the worldwide organization of social democratic, socialist and labor parties.
