wow lots of ballplayers lately.....i have seen ****** pitch live 6-7 times.....even was riding an elevator with him and moose skowren in a Cleveland hotel when i was a kid....he was great...

"one of the best lefties to ever toe the rubber," the Yankees said.

he spent his entire 16-year career with the Bronx Bombers

For some reason I thought he'd passed some time ago. Glad to learn that wasn't the case.

RIP...

****** Ford makes me think of the 1964 Cardinals and this Tom Waits tune...

“That we toast to the old days
and DiMaggio too
And old Drysdale and Mantle,
****** Ford and to you“

They gotta win tonight now! Go Yanks!

No disrespect for the greatest Country on the globe in ******'s heart, he cut short a promising baseball career to serve in Truman's war in Korea and came back to the Yankees when they needed him. He was my idol during my schoolboy days when I was a left handed pitcher.
