Are Americans paying attention to what is going on here?

From the RCMP on down to the lowly OPP, TPS and DRPS, we are NOT your ally. Trust me on that assertion.

Ford is in Michigan trying to avoid questions as we are losing 10s of thousands of job to the U.S...via mainly U.S corporations as it were.

Premier Doug Ford’s government doled out $126 million in training cash to 64 firms that used lobbyists to push poorly rated applications, which is “not fair, transparent, or accountable,” the auditor general found.

In a critical audit, Shelley Spence said Ford’s Ministry of Labour awarded money to the “low- and medium-ranked applications” from the Progressive Conservatives’ controversial $2.5 billion Skills Development Fund (SDF).

The recipients retained “registered lobbyists to lobby the Ministry and/or Minister on behalf of the applicants before they were selected and funded,” Spence wrote in a 42-page special report, one of four she tabled Wednesday at Queen’s Park.
“As well, 39 high-ranked applications that were selected by the Minister’s Office, and received approximately $58 million in funding, had also hired lobbyists,” the independent watchdog noted.

“Given that the Minister’s Office selects the applicants for funding and does not select only the applicants that have the highest overall score, this can create an appearance of real or potential preferential treatment by the Minister’s Office in its selection of applicants to fund,” she said.
“It is also not fair, transparent, or accountable to those applying for funding or to the public.”
Labour Minister David Piccini is to meet with reporters later Wednesday to discuss the fund that Ford has previously defended as “the best investment we’ve ever done in the province.”

Spence concluded “the Ministry has not performed an evaluation using all completed SDF project results to determine how the criterion weightings for selecting applications can be updated to better identify and select applications that will achieve their targeted outcomes.”
