My daughter and granddaughter slid off the road and are stuck there. No way I can get to them. Roads are a sheet of ice here in Missouri. The county trying to get to them.
I won't be able to get out of here tomorrow either. Blizzard expected.

Looks really bad down south, like in the Missouri area. Don't know how much they're used to dealing with snow and ice; I know they do get some. But a layer of snow above that ice is not gonna be pretty, esp if they're not used to dealing with it on a regular basis.

Praying they'll be okay and at least find shelter!

These storms that track out of northern Texas often take a turn right toward the Ohio Valley, which puts the snow in our area. But a big Canadian high is blocking and keeping it south. I love a snow day but I'm not mad about it--this is nasty

The most snow that I've seen here so far in east Tennessee all at one time of course was dumped on us last year starting the night before Martin Luther King Day. It didn't quit until the day after. 8-9 inches is what my city got. :) :) :)

God bless you always!!!

Holly (an east Tennessean since 1996)

P.S. In 1993, my area was hit once with 14-18 inches of snow all at once. The wild thing about it all is that the snow came in the middle of March! :) :) :)
