You said Russia's military wasn't any good, so I asked the logical question "Then why does Ukraine need help to defeat them?".
Is Ukraine's military even worse than Russia's?

You know Ukraine used to be part of the USSR, correct? They didn't even have their own military until recently.

And they have fought Russia to a stalemate. It's actually very impressive on their part.

None of this is applicable if European forces are helping Ukraine.

And Russia has insufficient troops and munitions, as well. That's why they are now relying on North Korea. Russia has had over 1 million casualties since the beginning of the war.

Russia had over 20 million casualties in WW2 .. and just a handful of years after said loses they moved into North Korea .. Ukraine isnt Afghanistan which is thousands of miles away .. Ukraine shares an actual border with Russia ! and western intelligence believes though heavy Russias casualties may be around 150 to 250 thousand .. 1% of what they lost in WW2 !

Being part of the USSR does not imbue it with any sort of military superiority.

The Iron Curtain only dropped because the USSR could not sustain them and itself too. They could not stop them from peeling off and declaring independence.

Ukraine's only hope is that they can fight Russia to a stalemate, to force Russia into stopping due to maximum effort yielding minimal gains. Continually arming and re-arming them only prolongs the inevitable.
