He is definitely a dictator. The guy literally imprisons and kills his political enemies, and others, but if you were a Russian, you wouldnt be necessarily hate him like you would most dictators. He is not an incompetent leader and he does what he thinks is best for Russia, even if we find it repugnant.
That said, he will keep what he now holds. This is a big win for Russia. It sucks for Ukraine, but its hard to feel sorry for a corrupt nation who has been cozying up to Russia for many years. Many in the population hate Russia, but many others dont. Hell, if Hillary Clinton didnt stage large scale protests to flip the election, Ukraine would have become part of Russia again without a single person dying. The US artificially created a democracy there (it wasnt organic), but had it been left on its own, it would have eventually reverted back to the motherland of Russia anyway.
All I know is, im glad that we are done paying for that pointless war.
