Cuban Greco-Roman wrestler Mijaín López has completed Paris 2024 with double joy: becoming the first Olympic athlete to win five consecutive gold medals in the same discipline and thus ending a long career without knowing defeat at the Olympics since his debut in Athens 2004.

López , who is about to turn 42, wrote his name in gold letters after winning the 130-kilogram category on Tuesday, defeating Cuban-born Chilean Yasmani Acosta 6-0.


Since this guy is from Cuba you will not read much about him in the MSM, but this is damn impressive.

From the age of 22 to 42 he has been the best in the world at what he does.
