There's an old adage that says, "Your right to swing your arm ends at my nose".

Which means, simply, that if you exercising your right ends up physically harming someone else, you are abusing that right.

That doesn't mean hurting someone's feelings, but causing actual, demonstrable harm.

That's why the concept of "hate speech" is so pernicious. The only persons who can determine what is hateful is government and if the government (a very fallible body) sets limits on what they do and do not consider hateful, they are limiting free speech.
