First steps towards a coming police state

No offense, but you righties make the people that thought Bush was going to declare a dictatorship look sane.
I'll bet you right now within a month the congress will tackle 'hate speech' that is 'fueling violence', IE talk radio.

As well they should because it does.

Those fools prove that removing the fairness doctrine was a mistake.
The hate and fear mongering has run amok and is not good for America.

Negged for being an asshole, in addition to being a big government stooge.

Learn to not get personel, or enjoy being negged dick breathe.

Understand?

We saw one party rule force a bill into law most of the nation rejected, now we see this, the Dems claiming they feel 'threatened' and calling in and huddling up with the FBI.

The next thing will be an 'enabling act' that gives special 'police' powers to investigate all these new 'threats.'

Funny how I predicted this last summer, isn't it.

Lawmakers concerned as health-care overhaul foes resort to violence

FIRST steps?!

What? Did you just wake up from a twenty year nap or something, Xeno?

Between the RICO laws, the antidrug laws, the no knock laws and the Patriot act, I'd say we're many miles past the FIRST STEP on the road to a police state.
Those where the steps towards socialism, now we are about to enter phase II.

The extreme left tried to push hate speech legislation through in Massachusetts recently. It looks like it is coming and probably even worse than that in time.

Day before yesterday Rod went up to check on some property he owns. He discovered some asphalt and rock materials missing. When he went to the local mayor to ask him who was going to pay for it the mayor let Rod know he was the 'g'damn mayor' of that town and who the hell did Rod think he was questioning him. Rod knew it was the mayor stealing the materials. We went back home to get a sledge to drive in fence post, some marking paint and went back to the property. Got there and the mayor was using his loader to push the rock base on the property up into a pile so he could help himself to more of it. Again the mayor reminded Rod who controlled the town but this time the guy went even further and started threatening both Rod and I. The mayor also had one of his council members there to back him up and make threats also. After asking the guy to remove himself and his loader from the property at least twelve times the guy still yelling says, "You'll see I'm calling the sheriff!" A deputy came about twenty minutes later. After determining who owned the property the deputy told the mayor and his council member they would have to leave Rod's property. Although I am not sure how Rod will get back all of the rock that the mayor has taken already and put down as a base for all of his hay to set on at his farm about a quarter of a mile away.

This is what you have in leadership throughout the country folks. It is no longer that leaders serve the people it is a control issue. Private property really does not mean private. You have large corporates who have control and controlled the country for a long time now. They are just getting bolder about it all as they push their will and their agenda down the throats of the people. What is yours is no longer yours it is their to do with as they please. You must also work for them if they say you do even if you don't want to.

Wow. I'm not surpised in the least but.... wow. All I can say is:

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.-Thomas Jefferson

The guy that owned the piles of asphalt there was hearing from the mayor how the mayor was taking out one of the roads on the property. The mayor neglected to tell the guy that he and his cohorts had removed thirty thousand dollars worth of his asphalt piles and was now working on taking out the rock base on Rod's property.

Can you imagine going onto someone else's property and taking out several feet of rock base? Then threaten the owner of the property as if the owner was being threatening when they ask you to leave?

This is the attitude the totalitarian counts on.

The right had the same opinion while we protested the Iraq and Afgan wars, were they also correct?

Talk radio doesn't make ANYBODY violent, that is just an excuse to shut down voices the government doesn't want heard.

The doctrone was never 'fair' nor should there be such a doctrone.

It is in fact anthema to a free society to dictate what can and can't be talked about.

Do you really believe that the people in your community would support the mayor's illegal actions if this became public, or a news story? Shouldn't the fbi be in on this....

Honestly, it is very hard to imagine such a blind eye given to such corruption!!!!

I can't imagine they really want to hear from us. The deputy sheriff did tell these guys they would have to stay off of the property. Rod is scheduled to speak at the next council meeting now. Hopefully the city will resolve their involvement before he has to take them to court. He has not determined yet what to do about the old mayor. While searching property records a few years ago we discovered this guy had made up quit claim deeds on Rod's grandmother's property and sold it. So, the mayor has been getting away with various modes of theft for well over thirty years now.

IMO, this type of abuse of authority has gone on way too long throughout the country and people have let it go on without aiding one another as it happened. I think you will see it go farther down before people will actually come together to put a stop to it. As long as people determine that it does not really affect them and have that 'so what' attitude freedom is shot in the ass.

Depends a lot on the size of the town Care. LOTS of corruption can exist in small town, because of being related to, cash spread around, intimidation, etc.
It is more difficult in larger towns though.

I don't think you understand what one party rule is. Nor do you understand what elections are for. Let me illuminate you-

One party rule is when only one party is allowed to be elected to office. This is not the case in the U.S. In fact, if you were paying attention, you may have noticed a certain Republican named Scott Brown getting elected recently.

Elections are meant for the people to express their will. They happen every even numbered year. The people in Congress who passed the health care bill passed it because people elected them to do it.

, the Dems claiming they feel 'threatened' and calling in and huddling up with the FBI.

The next thing will be an 'enabling act' that gives special 'police' powers to investigate all these new 'threats.'

The FBI already has all the authority it needs to investigate such matters.

Funny how I predicted this last summer, isn't it.

What is it you predicted? Did you predict that you'd be predicting there would be special police? Wow, what a prediction!:clap2:

No, You said you want the gov to deal them, as if they would be good at that.

BTW, let's do a hypothetical, say the gov tomorrow leagalizes pot.

Well, smoking is bad for you, and pot is worse, so of course there will be lots of sin taxes added to it.

And of course you can't smoke it in a public place, for the same reason you can't smoke cigs.

And of course since it alters the mind there will have to be children safety laws as well, and of course taxes to cover that.

Since its leagal corporations like Phillip Morris will of course take it over fast, the current 'suppliers' not being fond of taxes and procedures and all.

So basically all the smokers will have to pay 10 times as much and still have enomous limitations on where they can smoke and where they can obtain it, the only people uneffected will be the those who risked selling in volume, but they will be out of the business anyway, replaced by big corporations.

So why hasn't it been leagalized yet?

Care, we do not have much for local media here other than a few radio stations and one very small newspaper. Our nearest local media tv station is over seventy miles away. If no one cared about hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment being stolen from Rod by Wells Fargo & the sheriff and well over a half a million dollars being paid to Wells Fargo on a note that they admitted in court that the bank had made up all the papers on, do you really think anyone is going to care about a little bit of base rock being missing from a piece of property?

Our son called the sheriff last year to report his gun missing from the house here. The sheriff told him, "Yeah that place is like pic'n save".

Xeno, I was sent to the local FBI office after speaking with another federal agent about what the bank was after here. I had showed the guy all of the papers we had discovered on our property here where the house & shop is located. Long story but short of it is it is a large chunk of land with a pipeline running through and across the right of way to the land. The accounting CEO from WF owns a company that runs energy transmission lines. Back when this all started I was asked, "Why, why would someone go to that much trouble against you." That was after the guy said I have no doubt as to what you are saying is true and prior to being in court where the banker testified that the documents were created by someone in Wells Fargo. Now that I had that answer to "Why" I wanted to show them the documents and the trail. The dots were all in place, each and everyone of them. This is what the FBI agent told me before shuffling me out of that office, "So what" and "what's it to you?" also, "But it is to benefit so many people" (speaking of the transmission lines they had planned on running). Hopefully you can understand why I do believe that they really do not want to here from us.
