Was that cat declawed? I once had a cat that would beat the shit out of dogs. One time, he jumped on the dog's back and rode him up the street like a horse, dog yelping in pain all the way.

Hopefully not declawed.
The process usually involves removing the tip of the digits (fingers and toes) and is cruel and painful.
Watching my cats, they use their claws to help pick up items.
Sometimes they have 'disputes' but often just bat and punch each other, claws retracted.
However, if cornered and can't run, or really set on defending their turf, the claws out are like mini scalpels.

In the OP vid, the cat is just batting and slapping, (playing) claws held.
