Fetterman Criticizes Fellow Dems, Agrees with GOP on Border Security: 'It’s Astonishing'

Democrats need to get past their knee-jerk rejection of improved border security, Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania said Thursday.

“I hope Democrats can understand that it isn’t xenophobic to be concerned about the border,” Fetterman said, according to Politico. “It’s a reasonable conversation, and Democrats should engage.
Fetterman pointed to the sheer scale of illegal immigration, noting that Customs and Border Protection reported about 270,000 migrant encounters in September.

“Honestly, it’s astonishing. And this isn’t a Fox News kind of statistic. This is the government’s,” he said. “You essentially have Pittsburgh showing up there at the border."

I disagree with your claim. Nonetheless it costs the USA taxpayer too many tax dollars to call immigrants illegal then spend millions upon millions upon millions if not billions to maintain such nonsense. All sorts of small business people are advertising for help thus we should
allow the immigrants into the USA, put them to work, which generates tax dollars thus they earn their keep.

As of now GW Bush and Trauma Trump set up a plan which costs we the taxpayers tons of tax dollars to turn
them away, maybe incarcerate or whatever in addition to truck loads of tax dollars that Abbot and DeSantis spend transporting the immigrants to another state.

We taxpayers could apply these reckless spent tax dollars to Health Care for All medical insurance which
would benefit all taxpayers.

He's been a strong supporter of Israel, and on more than one occasion he's slammed Palestinian protesters. Definitely not what you would expect from someone of today's Dimocrat party.

They could be protesting Hamas. They could be protesting Hamas' systematic rape of Israeli women and girls or demanding the remaining hostages be immediately released. Instead, they targeted a Jewish restaurant. It's pathetic and rank antisemitism.
