Do you know that half of this country has a genetic mutation in the MTHFR gene?
If you are part of that group, you can have one bad copy of this gene (heterozygous) or both copies can be abnormal (homozygous)
Why is this important? These genes are allow the uptake of things like serotonin and dopamine. Having one bad copy reduces this ability by 30%, but two bad copies means a 70% reduction.
If you are homozygous, you will likely have these two mutations, the 677T and 1298C
