i think one of the best movie endings is in The One (2001) with Jet Li. The movie deals with parallel universes.

Been a long time, but, Behind the Green Door, (porn movie).

always wanted to add an evil laugh to the ending credits

Not the ending, but the beginning of the end.... best scene in any movie..... evah!

The Guy Pearce one, okay, I'll put it on my streaming list. I've seen it --- another case of the villain stealing the whole movie, as the great Alan Rickman stole Die Hard. AND the villain in the first Dirty Harry came very close.

I like the ending of Total Recall, which has gotten you totally in its reality grip despite flagrant warnings early in the movie ----- and then there is the wildly saccharine romantic finish with them outside on Mars watching an improbably beautiful bright red Martian sunset. And so, as the credits roll -------- you sort of get it.

Think I'll put that on, too.

This film is not at the top of my list, but because of the way that it ends, in my opinion, it doesn't deserve to be overlooked. To me, Little Big League was good stuff. I love the music that plays when the credits begin because the cast members are shown then. :) :) :)

God bless you and the ones who are still here always!!!

Holly

P.S. Late and legendary actors Dennis Farina and Jason Robards each had a role in this film.

I don't know about endings, but my favorite beginning was the one where a man and a woman meet in a cafe, then they each go two separate ways. Every time they look back, the other isn't looking back. Then the man gets hit by a car or truck and dies. I think it was Meet Joe Black or something. Rest of the movie was rubbish.

Raiders of the lost ark.

Return of the living dead.

Death proof.

Inglorious basterds.

Jackie brown.

The thing.

The game.

Night of the creeps.

The fog.

Se7en.

Fight club.

That's off the top of my head but I know there are a lot more.

All those movies tied their stories tight with the ending leaving me feeling completely satisfied and in some cases gave you a hint there was more but without the annoyingly "sequel in bound" bullshit and left the movie feeling it was complete.

Endings are highly dismissed in a lot of movies and most don't consider them to be the most important part of a story really because it's the very last thing you leave the audience with.
